ANTI-RAGGING MEASURES: SUBMISSON OF AFFIDAVITS BY ALL THE STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Dear Parents/Guardian/Student,

We hope you are fully aware of the orders of VTU, AICTE, the government and of Hon’ble Supreme Court on the Anti-Ragging measures. As per the latest policy, all students and their parents/guardians are required to submit an affidavit before a student is allowed to register for the new semester (Odd Semester 2012) or is admitted to the Institute.

The format of affidavit is available at the links provided below. It is to be submitted on a Non-Judicial paper of Rs. 10/- (Rupees Ten only) duly attested by the Oath Commissioner. Students are advised to also download a copy of the UGC/AICTE Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 at the link provided below and apprise themselves of the provisions contained therein. A copy of all these documents is also available from Mr Rohith Kumar in the college office.

All students of higher semesters (III/V/VII Semesters of BE/MBA/MCA/MTech) and their parents/guardians may get the affidavits attested by the Oath Commissioner and submit them to Mr Rohith Kumar in the college office, within a week of the reopening date (by 7th August 2012 for BE/MBA/MCA students) without fail. Kindly note that there are TWO affidavits, one is to be signed by the student and the other shall be signed by the parent/guardian. All students being admitted to the first year of all courses are also required to submit these affidavits, before completing the admission formalities.

Once submitted, the affidavits will remain valid till the student leaves the college. In case a student does not submit the affidavit within the due-date, he/she shall not be allowed to attend classes.

For the convenience of students, the following Oath Commissioner is designated by the college:

Mr M. P. Noronha, Advocate and Notary,
Manu Advocates, 2nd Floor, Royal Chambers,
Near PVS Circle, Kodialbail, Mangalore 575003.
Tel: 2448577, 2448831, 2448832 (Off)

However, students are free to get their affidavits attested by any Oath Commissioner of their choice.

Students seeking admission to the college hostels or staying in paying-guest or similar accommodation outside the campus are required to furnish ANOTHER SET of affidavits (one signed by the student, another signed by the parent/guardian), in the same format mentioned above, to Mr Rohith Kumar in the college office, within a week of the reopening date, without fail.

Date: 25 June 2012
